New Product section launched.

Last month saw the launch of The Regency Chess Company new product section selling chess set combinations. Through customer feedback they realised that what people wanted was the ability to buy a complete chess set (board, pieces and case) in one go. Without having to worry about matching up sizes and wood types.

What’s New?

The Regency Chess Company are extremely proud to have been involved in a one-off project to make a custom chess set for none other than Sir Patrick Moore.

In conjunction with King Edwards School in Bath a large luxury chess set with pegged pieces was created to allow Patrick to play chess without knocking the pieces over. He loves playing chess but recent health issues meant that he was unable to move the pieces around the board without knocking them over.

A unique chess set was created using one of their luxury chess boards and a set of Broadbase Staunton chess men that were expertly modified by the school DT department before being returned to them for final finishing. The end result was one very fine chess set that now has its place in Patrick’s home.
